Upcoming Greeley Chamber Ag Tour
The West Greeley Conservation District will host the morning kick-off breakfast at Houston Gardens for the Greeley Chamber full-day Ag Tour on Friday, August 25th. This year’s theme is The Evolution of Agriculture in Weld County. The tour will host approximately 100 participants. The committee’s goal is to look at agriculture then and now and realize how far things have evolved. Stops are scheduled at:
Hungenberg Farms to learn about carrot farming and processing;
An irrigation lesson in setting tubes at Kelly’s Farms
A visit with onion farmers at Fagerberg Farms
Then lunch at White Plumb Farm Learning Center
Where we will view antique equipment side-by-side with new equipment from 4Rivers
The afternoon will conclude with stops at
Maxey’s Flat Dairy Barn, and
Monte Vista Dairy.
