The Rocky Mountain Raptor Program (RMRP) out of Fort Collins partnered with West Greeley Conservation District last August at our Community Bash. Visitors were fascinated by the owl, eagle and hawk that their volunteers displayed. We found out many of you have become volunteers assisting with the rescue and rehabilitation of this majestic raptors. We thought you might be interested in supporting their upcoming Gala Dinner and Benefit Auction at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, at the Hilton Hotel, 425 W. Prospect Road.
This fundraising dinner celebrates their 30th anniversary of helping raptors to survive in the wild and educate the public about wildlife issues. Truck traffic, oil rigs and wind turbines have a negative impact on these large birds of prey, so they do a lot of work in Weld County.
Tickets are $60 until Feb 26th and then are $70 at the door. If this interests you, call 970-484-7756 or visit rmrp.org/news/events/gala-and-auction .
